Born into a humble, middle-class family with deep roots in healing - his father an Ayurvedic physician, his grandfather a general practitioner - Dr. Pranav Sharma seemed destined for a life in medicine.
He went on to pursue his MBBS, MS, and MCh in Cardiothoracic Surgery from the prestigious AIIMS, New Delhi.
After completing his training, he joined the U.N. Mehta Institute of Cardiology & Research Centre, Ahmedabad, where he rose rapidly through the ranks- from surgeon to professor, and eventually became the Chief Medical Administrator, leading the hospital's growth from 100 to over 1200 beds in record time.
But just as his medical career was taking off, life threw a challenge no surgeon expects - he was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease (YOPD).
For someone whose hands were his greatest tool, it was a shattering blow.
Yet, instead of retreating, he reinvented himself.
Through over a decade of struggle, he transitioned from the operating room to the boardroom. But the disease progressed, and the heavy toll of 20+ medications a day made life unbearable.
In a courageous move, he opted for Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) - a complex 16-hour neurosurgery that eventually brought his symptoms under control.
This wasn’t just a medical recovery - it was a rebirth.
With renewed energy and spiritual clarity, he found a new calling: to empower fellow doctors to build, grow, and lead the healthcare institutions India desperately needs.
Thus was born The Doctorpreneur Academy - a movement to nurture the leadership, entrepreneurial, and digital potential of healthcare professionals.
And from that vision emerged DocAngels - a powerful platform where doctors become investors, mentors, and catalysts for healthcare innovation.

Amit Singh Moga’s journey defies every stereotype.
A gold-standard academic pedigree - IIT Roorkee, IIM Ahmedabad, and a Ph.D. in Healthcare from France - would’ve ensured a high-flying corporate life.
But Amit chose a different path: one of meaning, freedom, and impact.
He began his career as a Scientist at DRDO, later moving into the world of finance where he managed large healthcare investments as an AVP at YES Bank, Mumbai.
But something didn’t feel right. Despite the financial security and upward trajectory, a growing emptiness pulled at him.
The real turning point came after a deep personal tragedy - losing his mother in a sudden accident in 2008, which led to a long and silent battle with depression.
It took five years of grief, introspection, and healing to find clarity and the courage to rewrite his story.
In 2013, Amit entered the prestigious PGP program at IIM Ahmedabad, joining the campus as a married student and father - breaking stereotypes and making headlines in national media. But soon after, he realised the corporate world wasn’t his true calling.
In 2016, driven by a desire for freedom, authenticity, and purpose, he took the leap into entrepreneurship. With no background in business and no safety net, he founded his first venture in healthcare.
Since then, he’s built multiple impact-driven initiatives - each rooted in the belief that lives are changed not just by ideas, but by courageous execution
Today, Amit is the Co-Founder of The Doctorpreneur Academy, the world’s first digital community helping doctors become leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs.
